SCHOOL'S OUT
School's finally out for the summer! I can't believe it... It's been such a long year, but it's amazing that it's over. I've had some great times, every moment seems to have been filled with joy. Of course, there were some hardships - there must have been - but when I think about it, it was a good year.It was a great year.
Here's to barefoot summers! To empty lockers and empty desks! To mornings of apple juice chugging (Apple juice makes you smart!), and barista boy watching! To party planning and play practicing. To waking up bathed in sunlight, to staying up late past dusk. To movie-theatre going, to Jane Austen reading, to sleeping on rooftops and midnight phone calls. Here's to summer, to our youth and life.
I have a lot of hope for this summer. I really do think our peace of mind will come back with the sun-filed days. I think this will be our best summer yet. And when we return, we'll return wiser, smarter, stronger, happier, and ready for another year.
